About Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA)
The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) is a regional independent non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering and defending media and civic voices for good governance and democratic development across West Africa. With a network of national partner organizations in all 16 countries of the region, MFWA focuses on priorities such as freedom of expression, tech and digital rights, media for democracy and good governance, and media for peace and social cohesion. The organization collaborates with various international bodies, including UN agencies and ECOWAS, to promote a safe and rights-respecting environment for independent journalism and activism.
