The Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) is dedicated to advising, promoting, and researching geoscientific issues related to mineral resources, groundwater, environmental concerns, geo-hazards, and land use planning to support sustainable economic development in Ghana. Established under the GGSA Act, 2016 (Act 928), the authority conducts geological investigations and manages geoscientific information to enhance responsible mining practices and minimize environmental risks. GGSA collaborates with various partners to improve data-driven mining strategies and empower communities to manage their natural resources sustainably.
