About African Women Development Fund (AWDF)
The African Women Development Fund (AWDF) is a Pan-African grant-making organization dedicated to supporting and nurturing African women’s rights organizations and feminist movements. By providing funding, capacity building, and knowledge sharing, AWDF aims to amplify African women's voices and combat harmful stereotypes. Since its inception, the organization has awarded a total of US$ 111 million to 1,773 organizations across 52 countries, promoting gender justice and dignity for all. AWDF invites women’s rights and feminist organizations, particularly those often excluded from funding, to apply for its open funding opportunities.
